Osaka, Japan (09/05) – During The Forestry Business Forum of World Expo 2025 Osaka, PT KML officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with two Japanese entities, Japan International Forestry Promotion And Cooperation Center (JIFPRO) JIFPRO and Global Carbon Control (GCC), as a joint commitment to foster strategic collaboration in the field of Nature-based Solutions (NbS) and Biodiversity Protection.
The signing took place at the Indonesia Pavilion, witnessed by representatives from the Indonesian and Japanese governments, as well as international business delegations. This MoU marks the first step in a long-term partnership that includes identifying suitable areas for NbS projects, conducting feasibility studies, and implementing them on the ground.

“This collaboration is a concrete step for mutual learning and growth. We see this partnership as an opportunity to strengthen sustainability practices that deliver real impact in the field—especially through a nature-based approach,” said Desitarani, Operational Director of Kiara Multi Lestari.
JIFPRO and GCC also welcomed the partnership as part of their ongoing commitment to supporting global climate initiatives in tropical regions. This collaboration aligns with the spirit of Expo 2025 Osaka: Designing Future Society for Our Lives.
This partnership demonstrates that Kiara Multi Lestari is ready to take a leading role in the global green economy and reaffirms that cross-border collaboration is key to creating a more sustainable future.
